Anthony King: 2009

BOOK #16 - I hope my closest friends have never read Chuck Klosterman.  Because none of my closest friends have ever said, “Anthony - you have to read this.”  Which means either (a) my friends don’t actually care about me or (b) my friends don’t actually know me very well.  And both of those possibilities are pretty depressing.

Of course, Brandon Gardner was the person who actually gave me this book (because of Klosterman’s defense of Billy Joel - an essay I could have easily written myself, only with much less clarity and wit).  So perhaps without even realizing it, Brandon Gardner knows me better than anyone else in the world.
